Reminded of rice I have from Senegal.

Did you know the Geechie know much of their heritage as passed through oral history. They were professional rice farmers and were treated in higher regard with a false sense of freedom in South Carolina and Georgia. There’s a Yoruba spot among the Geechie people in South Carolina. Beautiful. There they are learning more of the ancient languages and the origins of what became their culture…I am Geechie. But my Grandfather tried to get away from his history. I am trying to get back home.
