I finished reading “The Spirit of Intimacy” by Sobonfu Some’, and it is a beautifully written and spiritual book. I learned a lot about myself and how I am in relationships and life itself. It has taught me new ways of solving problems in relationships and looking at the world from an Afrikan centered point of view-in all things. Everything is Spirit. I enjoyed learning about the Dagara People of West Afrika and their beautiful spirituality. I saw myself in many aspects of this book and am using those rituals to stay connected to spirit in all things. This book is Blacknificent. The only caveat is that I don’t ovastand gay people being the gatekeepers. I didn’t get their connection to both worlds (spirit/physical). Maybe this can be a discussion for those who have read the book? Just let me know. Alaffia!4 Comments-
Malidoma Some was sexually abused as a child by white missionaries that also emotionally and psychologically abused him. I suspect that those negative experiences shaped some of his thinking as I am not familiar with other sources that refer to homosexuals as gatekeepers. Homosexuality is anti-family and extremely destructive to black people.

I had no idea about her husband being sexually abused but its no surprise since he was around those pink pedophiles a lot. His name means “a friend to strangers” (or something very similar). I agree with your latter statement but this is something his wife believed I’m assuming through her spirituality. I just didn’t get that part.

There are other transcripts interviews where she says similar stuff online. I’ve asked Dagaaba people about it and they have told me that if someone is found to be practicing that, it is the elders who will finish them (meaning kill them).
