I watched the video last night and I am watching it again. Very interesting info and I will fill out the card that accompanied it to give feedback. I will share that I do believe many of us here in the West do and have suffered from the mental issues Dak. Kambon pointed out in the presentation. For example, there are Africans from the diaspora who go to Africa ill prepared. They desire to return home which is great, but some are new to the Pan African ‘game’ and they need to just sit back and listen and be under the mentoring of people experienced about Africa like ‘locals’ and repats both whom have been or are currently ‘on the ground.’ Some of us cant be told anything and go there with our poisonous ‘World Star Hip Hop’ mentality. We need mental healing before making that move or else just remain in the USA. I know may sound kinda harsh, but Im getting tired of hearing about some going to the continent expecting to live an American life. Some even get killed like this African so called American in Burkina Faso. Had he listened to counsel before going. Woo sah! Smh. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.
