A black person raised in the west, in order to successfully make the sojourn to Afrika, one must go there with Afrikan eyes, not these western ones we were blinded with. Some women of the diaspora go to Afrika with an ‘independent’ woman mindset. In my opinion, this does not work for most Afrikan/Kemetyw cultures. Women are very crucial in Afrikan societies and while abuse of any kind should never be tolerated the ideal, in my opinion, is that we work in partnership with the men. Not trying to compete with them. Again, it is my opinion, that some black diasporan women have a lot of western baggage. Id include myself in this. Before leaving to make our homes on the continent we need to unpack those western mindsets and toss then into the oceans that we must cross to return home. Otherwise, Afrika dont need us if we insist on taking that drama with us. Also, Just stay in USA if you still waving that flag and insisting on western ways and being called AmeriKKKan. No one is forcing you to leave crakkkaland. By all means stay. I gave that up repping AmeriKKKa years ago. Even if continentals try insisting that Iam ‘AmeriKKKan’ I let them know real quick that I am as Afrikan as they are. That’s a story for another day though.

We must remember that our mindsets are products of indoctrination and the colonial system, as US was also colonized by UK, hence much of the ongoing problems manifesting today are a result of europeans spreading their poisons across the earth. Westernized mindsets must now be shed.
