Being resident for a continuous period of 7 yrs is still the requirement in Kenya. I heard someone had drafted a bill to parliament for special considerations for diaspora Afrikans but didn’t get through. I think Kenyans in the diaspora are in a better position to push for this as part of their proposals for political and economic engagement
