Random thought, most Afrikan leaders throughout modern history have been attractive. Could the idea of their quality as leaders make them seem beautiful? Is it possible, that their appearance influences other’s willingness to follow them? 🤔 4 years ago ·

Interesting question sis Daisy.

Would you, by chance, agree, Sis Adjoa? I ask because my perspective could be relative to my broad circle of community.

My answer would be pretty basic. I think some of those ‘attractive’ leaders are/were jerks and that their jerkish ways trickle down to some of the men in those countries as many practice misogynist behavior towards women(black women). In addition, many are negropeans. Bad combo.

I love black men, so not bashing them but misogyny is a bit problematic among some of our men.

Not basic at all, Sis. You lend an awesome perspective tha I haven’t really considered. Thanks for sharing.

Glad I could lend my perspective.

That’s so subjective, right. I would say that for me, I measure by my own experience with what makes one attractive. However, as you implied, those standards would be very pliable when considering various people. It has been my experience though that Afrikan leaders have by and large had physical and intellectual traits that I believe many people have found to be attractive.
