Behind the scenes for my photo-poetry book project in Brazil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷 Some people have asked me, what are they doing? They are holding up short excerpts of my original poetry that they chose. They read 3-4 lines and select their favorite to take a picture with. It’s a new visual style of poetry that I am pioneering. A poetry that takes you to the people. My sister-partner in Brazil Lena Silva is the woman behind the camera in these photos. I was worried about actualizing my dream during the pandemic. But, spirit told me, connections and trust make anything possible. Trust spirit, move, and let go. It will always put the right people in your path. Um Soh (a Black hip hop duo in Brazil) are the people for me. Say your prayers and do your work, they are working with you. The Orishas are rooting for you. 🌟🌟
