Baba Runoko Rashidi was my first teacher of African history who introduced me to the ancient tools, architecture, jewelry, textiles and culture that link African=Black people around the world. His lectures guided me to visit museums with a correct timeline in hand in order to separate the African development sequence from the backwards and distorted crime scene narrative of yurugu. Thank you Baba Runoko for giving me new eyes with which to see us everywhere!

These are the types of personal stories that would be appropriate for Sunday’s program. I hope that you can make it-

Thank you. Yes, I’ve signed up to attend and look forward to hearing stories about one of our great teachers. I feel pretty gutted by his sudden transition. I’m sure many others feel the same way. He was my adventurous, pro-African scholar uncle I wish I had growing up.
I hope you’re doing well Okunini. I think of you and your family daily!
