Jumatatu/Monday thoughts:
china has the most atheists in the world. And as we all know, china has grown quite rapidly from since the 1940s to now. As Baba Kambon said, it is one of the few sovereign states on earth. I wonder if being atheist plays a part in that?When one doesn’t believe in some false deity, self reliance takes over. You don’t “leave everything in god’s hands” or “pray to god and he will guide you”. You are aware that the only way something will be done is if you and your community gets up and do it. While progress won’t happen overnight , with consistency, you will reach your goal.
What are your thoughts?

This will be a brief response, but I think when black folk follow a ‘divine presence’ that looks like their oppressor that’s where trouble lies.-

atheism is also a religion. It goes hand in hand with communism. Same thing was prevalent with soviets but they collapsed. I don’t think it has much to do with atheism but mainly knowing that one has enemies and that the world is characterized by competition between groups. There are many many factors that affect the outcome-
To summarize religion is basically ideology. The difference between our people and other groups is that ours serve the ideology while others make the ideology serve them, that is to say, they won’t adhere to it’s principles fully but will use and disuse it according to circumstances

Wow.. well said. I agree with you. Now the question remains how to get our people to make the ideology serve them instead of vice versa.. but that’s a whole discussion by itself

Awesome Question. I think it plays a huge roll with all the evidence considering they’re sovereignty as a people. Just look at it from our position. It has/is/will destroying/destroy us and stop us from even thinking along the lines of power & liberation. Look at Nana Nat Turner (Visions of liberation & actualizing it) and Frederick Douglass (getting off his knees and grabbing power). The taking of Power with your own hands in any & everything we do should be our mission. We must let go of those religions and take back our minds. In my opinion.

well said sis!!! Frederick Douglass was the inspiration for me to change my life; he showed me that just because the early years of your life were dark doesn’t mean that it must continue that way. He realized that he had control over his life and with that comes power. These religions push us further into the abyss while the eurasians continue to gain power and wealth
