I just watched the Akan Ananse, Yoruba Ijapa and Dikenga Theories presented by Okunini Kambon, I learned that there is a formula to Afrikan storytelling structures and how that framework coincides/parallels with the Kmtyw life cycle. When I was in the neanderthal university system taking ece courses, I learned about the so-called cavebeast ‘greats’ of psychosocial theories like Ericson and Piaget, but we have our own life stages chart developed by our own ‘theorists’ that not only touch on the stages of life, but the stages of ancestorship(transition/after life) too. Excellent presentation as usual.

BlackPowerful! Is there anything you will start doing and/or stop doing on the basis of what you learned?

I will and have stopped using wazungu frameworks as my ‘go to’ reference points when examining the life and transition cycles of fellow Kmtyw. I will use the information I learn to continually decolonize my teaching styles and rekmtyw-ize teaching methods I learned at crakkaversities, etc. etc.& etc.

Will there one day be opportunities to work towards a degree in Afrikan AKA Kmtyw studies here?
