A few months ago I got my DNA results from African Ancestry, tracing my paternal genetic ancestry. Once I got my results, i shared it with a few people, but i will now be sharing my results publicly. Not that i didnt want to share it publicly before, but i postponed sharing my results in order to study my direct paternal genetic ancestry more.
I come from the Lissongo people (sango people) in which are of the larger collective group known as the Ngbandi people of the colonial construct today, central African republic but Migrated from what we know today as South Sudan
The Ngbandi people (Lissongo):
“The Ngbandi came from what is now South Sudan, converging upon and assimilating a number of small groups in their present lands.”
We are also heavily in Agriculture:
“Ngbandi grow corn (maize), cassava (manioc), peanuts (groundnuts), sweet potatoes, lima beans, peppers, pineapples, papayas, and tobacco. Traditionally, men have hunted, fished, and cleared land for cultivation, while women have gathered wild foods and done the hoeing, planting, and harvesting.”
Our lives are lead through Ancestral remembrance/Elderly guidance:
“The Ngbandi traditionally lived in compact villages consisting of a single row of dwellings. They have been mainly patrilineal, though there have been circumstances in which a man might reside with his maternal uncle. Ngbandi chiefs have acted as arbiters and priests of the ancestral cult central to traditional social life.”
And i was able to see why i i have an Uncompromising Black Warriors mentality, and come across more deep connections that we have to the Sudan:
“The Ngbandi were once renowned warriors, and their craftsmen produced lances and knives of high quality that were traded with many neighbouring groups; these are now prized by collectors of African art. Ngbandi also produced elegant curved-neck harps reminiscent of those of their ancestral peoples living in Chad and South Sudan.”

The language we speak is known as Sango:
“Sango (sometimes also called “Sangho”) is the national language of the Central African Republic. A creole based on the Ngbandi language of the northern Democratic Republic
of the Congo, Sango is spoken not only in the Central African Republic, but also by some people in Chad and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.”
Our language also shows high recognition/Respect for Seniority/Eldership:
“Respect for seniority is enshrined in the Sango language itself. For instance speech registers vary according to the age and role of the respective speakers. The second person plural pronoun is used to show one’s deference to elders.”
Below is a well known Weapon kept by us Warriors of the Ngbandi (Lissongo) is called Pamba.. below are two photos of it… but you can also look closely at my Warrior Ancestor in the photo, he also has our protection strapped on him.
