Old Age
In African tradition, old age is called gains and losses. What you gain in experience, you loose in physical strength. When the old man turns the slope, it is said he is always going towards death; so he is descending. This is why it is said that ideas which are in old men’s heads are dead ideas. So new ideas should be sown in the minds of young men and women. And that is why traditions in Africa cares soo much for the young people; without giving them too much rights and power, but we put all the necessary tools and means at their disposal for full and proper development.
