Kmtyw & Izon Cosmology
1. The Universe and Creation 🌍
– Kmtyw Belief: In Ancient Kemet, people believed the universe started from a vast, watery chaos called Nun. From this, Atum, emerged and created everything.
– Izon Belief: The Izon people also see water as very important. They believe the world began with water, and their god created land and living things from it.
Simple Principle: Everything starts from water. Water is very special because it helps create life!
2. Neteru and Teme 💝
– Kmtyw Belief: The Kmtyw people revered many Neteru like Ra, Ausar & many others.
– Izon Belief: The Izon also believe in many Teme and Tamuno who protects and guide them and Woyingi who created them.
Simple Principle: There are many powerful beings that help us. Some are like friends in the sky, and some are like our family who watch over us.
3. Life and Death ⭕
– Kmtyw Belief: In Kemet, life doesn’t end with death. People believed in a journey after life, where your heart is weighed to see if you lived well.
– Izon Belief: The Izon also believe that death is a part of life. They honour their ancestors and think they still help the living.
Simple Principle: Life goes on even after we die. Our loved ones are always with us in spirit, helping us and guiding us.
4. Nature and Balance 🌴⚖️
– Kmtyw Belief: Nature was very important in Kemet. Hapi was seen as a source of life, and balance was essential for harmony in the universe.
– Izon Belief: The Izon people have a deep respect for rivers, forests, and animals. They believe everything in nature is connected and should be cared for.
Simple Principle: We must take care of nature because everything is connected. When we help nature, we help ourselves!
5. Community and Togetherness 👨🏿👩🏿👧🏿👦🏿
– Kmtyw Belief: In Kemet, community and family were vital. People worked together and celebrated important festivals.
– Izon Belief: The Izon also value community and family. They gather for festivals, sharing stories and honouring their traditions.
Simple Principle: We are stronger together. Working with our family and friends makes us happy and helps everyone.
Conclusion
By understanding both Ancient Kmtyw and Izon beliefs, we see that water is life, there are many spirits guiding us, life continues beyond death, nature is important, and being together with our community matters.

Atum is not God. Atum is not a god.
Saying Atum is God (or a god) does not give justice and honor to Atum.
We should define and interpret our Ancestral Wisdom, Knowledge, and Science without European interpretation.
