· Good password practices and etiquette include:
Why use a password keeper application?
Today, you have to remember many passwords.
You need a password for a lot of websites, your e-mail account, your webserver, network logins, etc.
The list is endless. Also, you should use a different password for each account, because if you would use only one password everywhere and someone gets this password, you would have a problem: the thief would have access to all of your accounts.
· Change passwords regularly:
Consider changing your password if you suspect a threat, or if a former employee leaves the company.
· Create strong passwords:
Passwords should be at least 12 characters long, and include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using dictionary words, personal information, or simple patterns.
· Use a password manager:
Password managers store all your passwords in one place, which can help you keep track of them.
· Use a unique password for each account:
Reusing passwords can make it easier for hackers to access other accounts.
· Use passphrases:
Passphrases can be easier to remember than passwords made up of random characters.
· Apply password encryption:
Encryption can protect passwords, even if they are stolen.
