Founded in 1978, with Dr. Jacob H. Carruthers as our first director, the Kemetic Institute continued its legacy with Leon Harris and later Yvonne Jones as our second and third directors. Now we welcome our newest director, Dr. Kamau Rashid. Join us as we celebrate his initiation into this role, discus his book on our founder–“Jacob H. Carruthers and the Restoration of an African Worldview,” and look toward the future of our work.
