Ankh Udja Snb,
I recently started learning mdw ntchr at https://www.mfundishijhutyms.com/. While listening to an interview from sbA Bonotchi, I heard him mention that Obenfo Mario Beatty is Obenfo Théophile Obenga’s preeminent student!
So I recently started taking a pre-recorded mdw ntchr course from Obenfo Beatty at https://www.knarrative.com/course/mdwntr. Thus far, the course is BlackTacular! The only gripe I have is that he uses non-kmtyw terms like Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Egypt, Hieroglyphs. etc.
Just wanted to share this info.

anx wDA snb, Ɔbenfo Beatty was my own teacher back in Atlanta when he taught at Morris Brown and I was at Morehouse. Yeah, the terminology issue isn’t going to go away, but his grasp of mdw nTr is on a pref

@Kwadwo_Danmeara BlackSolutely! I just discovered both Abibitumi and sbA Bonotchi within the last 2 months. Since then, I’ve listened to several lessons / discussions from sbA Bonotchi on Abibitumi. I definitely look forward to the next course from sbA Bonotchi!
Htp sn=i ! Glad to meet you!
I did not have the pleasure of being taught by Ɔbenfo Beatty, but I do read and listen to their works. I also do translation projects with sbA Bonotchi and Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé, currently working on a text right now.340,580 Abibisika (Black Gold) Points
@taharka2018 BlackPowerful! Who did you learn mdw ntchr from and how long have you been studying the language, if you don’t mind me asking?
@snTorrell I have been studying mdw netcher since Fall 2014 at krakkkaversity of toronto where i did a masters in egyptofallacy studies. Though, I did read Tata Obenga and Obenfo Beatty’s works prior to (which limited some of the conceptual damage), it was there that I got the grammar lessons.
My formal un-krakkking adn re-Kemetizing perspective came from my doctoral studies under Obenfo Kimani Nehusi at temple jewniversity. The key thing he did for me was showing how the ‘Afrikan’ grammatical continuities in Afro-Caribbean Languages (eka patois, creole, and ting) via West Afrika connected back to Classical Kmt. It helped me tangibly understand the language better on Kmtyw terms, if that makes sense.

@snTorrell I think I stopped around lesson 46 but I went back and repeated every lesson so I am on lesson 10 now. I left Knarrative for a while due to personal issues but I’m back and ready to learn again! Hbu? What lesson are you on?

@Lang BlackPowerful! I’m working through the assignment in lesson 6 now. I was already familiar with some of the concepts from the beginner lessons, but I still wanted to start from lesson 1. I’m glad I did because I’ve learned new concepts from these beginner lessons.
