Akwaaba! I’m Titilayo Akua I. Smith AKA Nana Akua Otubea, Founder & Executive Director of Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation (KGEDC) and incoming Queen Mother of Development for Mampong, Akuapem. With over 30 years in government operations and a Global MBA in Economic Development, I’m passionate about empowering Africans and the diaspora to shape their futures.
My connection to Ghana runs deep—I lived there as a child, speak a little Twi (getting ready to start lessons), and understand that authentic development must be community-driven and culturally rooted. This personal foundation drives everything I do through KGEDC.
In October 2025, I am relocating to Ghana to launch transformative initiatives:
-Community Development in Aworowa Techiman, Aworokurom (near Kumasi), and Mampong Akuapem-Nteasee House B&B in East Legon, Accra.
-
Oh, I am from Newark, NJ but I currently live in Texas City, TX.
