Article 5 of The Native Land Act of 1913 criminalized Native Indigenous Blacks for any resistance against given their land to white settlers and establish punishment for the Native Indegenious Blacks of South Africa who tried to buy land. A fine of 100 pounds or 6 months to 1 year in prison. White farmers who rented, leased or sold land to Blacks will also pay a fine of 100 pounds, but no prison term.
The Native Land Act of 1913 law ended up transforming the way the traditional Indigenous Black people had relationship with their Ancestral land into a crime.
Thus, a regime of legal terror was created for enforcement that Native Indigenous Black people of South Africa give up their land to white settlers.
