Cronus – Saturn – Satur-day eternal memorial of the Greek gods:
The Titans are twelve siblings (12 Apostles?), the second generation of gods, born from Gaia and Uranus. The most powerful of them is Cronus (Frequently conflated with Chronos, the god of Time), who overthrow his father by castrating him with a sickle, taking over as the ruler of the heaven (Heavenly Father?). This act of violence against his father is why Cronus is often depicted in ancient artwork and sculpture wielding the sickle or scythe that became his symbolic weapon.
Historical Holy-day:
The Saturnalia was a seven-day (The sabbath?) celebration of Saturn.
It was held every December (Jesus birth), with plants and candles brought into the home, presents given to children and charity to the poor. It had a direct influence on how Christmas is celebrated to this very day.
