Okunini (Dr) Kamau Rashid presented a Nana Omowale Malcolm X Lecture in the city of Cali in the South “american” nation state of “colombia” in May 2025. This was an event organized by a Black organization based there that wanted to honor Nana Omowale’s centennial. The city has a large migrant Black population from the neighboring predominantly Black communities of the Cauca state and the Pacific Coast, in addition to Black people born in the city. It is often stated it’s the country’s city with the largest number of Black people.
