• Gold Sector: Burkina Faso Cements Its Place on Africa’s Mining Map in 2024

      In 2024, the West African country produced approximately 60.8 tonnes of gold — up from 56.8 tonnes in 2023 and 57.6 tonnes in 2022 — with the vast majority exported, according to Doulaye Sanou, Secretary-General of Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Mines.
