Decentralization Needed for Jamaica - Over-reliance on Kingston
In the hurricane aftermath, much of the supplies and foods has had to come from Kingston. Many volunteer islanders have driven from Kingston to Western Jamaica to distribute food and supplies for people in the most affected areas. This article discusses and proposes Jamaica look at a decentralized method and establish regional self-sufficiency so there isn’t an over-reliance on Kingston. If Kingston had been hit hard like the West, there would be a lot more issues. Kmtyu on the island need to be proactive on this effort, because we know this will not be the last hurricane.
