Abibisika (Black Gold) Points
Christianity and Capitalism are structures of cultural domination.
Origin of the word Domination?
The word “domination” comes from Latin, stemming from dominātiō (mastery, rule), which itself derives from dominus (“master,” “lord”) and ultimately from domus (“house”), connecting to the idea of ruling one’s household or domain, entering English via Old French around the late 14th century. It signifies control, power, or rule, originating from the concept of a “master of the house”.
Breakdown of its roots:
Latin: dominātiō (noun of action for “mastery, rule”).
Latin: dominārī (“to rule, have dominion over”).
Latin: dominus (“lord, master”).
The SPIRIT of Capitalism (Our livelihood) and Christianity (Our constitution) is one and the same.
WHY:
They both are drivers of our society today.
They both control us as the air we breathe.
They both cause us to be materialistic (Money and riches).
They both cause us to live a life of unaccountably.
They both produce inequity and inequality.
Many will say we should ignore Christianity and the Bible, but they will not stop being a Capitalist.
Blessed are the Over-comers:
I say we should strive (Know thyself) to understand these two dark forces that are driven by the same European SPIRT, if we will have any chance in winning against IT.
Leaving one and still clinging to the other is a fool’s errand.
What say ye?
Foot note:
Proto-Indo-European (PIE): dem- (“house, household”).
Dem-
Democrats
The house of representatives
The house of the ruler
The house of the Lord
Evolution into English:
The term passed into Old French as dominacion.
It entered Middle English (late 14th century) as dominacioun, meaning “rule, control by means of superior ability, influences, resources, or position”.
Essentially, domination traces back to the fundamental concept of household mastery, evolving to describe broader forms of power and control over others or territories.
