He was accused of sexual impropriety toward a white girl in July 1899. Law enforcement were transporting him to stand trial for his alleged crime. An angry, white mob seized the officers to take “justice” in their own hands. -from AfroThink Tank. They took him to the site of the alleged crime. They tried to torture a confession out of him. Instead, he asked them to kill him quickly.
There are so many things to unpack here: Embree’s dignity being invalidated and him maintaining it innhis posture, white men’s obsession with Black men’s bodies and genitalia that persists today, how white mobs are justified in doing what Black groups cannot, and the mere accusation of impropriety with a white girl to name a few. This is what our ancestors went through.
And a small percentage of us still want/choose white partners.

And anotha’ thang! Considering this and the atrocities these retched aamu committed, I dont understand how anyone would want a broke down, busted in the face, basic becky/brad with no lips. Miscegenation equals a misaligned nation at minimum. Bedroom colonialism equals cultural and racial annhilation and it is a treasonous kick in the nads to our ancestors who had theirs cut off or ripped out at accusations!
