I dunno, i don’t think ‘matriarchal’ is the right phrasing for gender complementary system(s) of Kmtyw. It leads people to think of things, sometimes, as simply reverse of ‘patriarchy’ (a gender variant of defining Kmtyw as opposite aamw).
Like the example of the Sereer, given in the text, shows that ‘matriarchy’ or simply focusing on what women can/cannot do, can confuse things.

@taharka2018 that may be worth writing more about. i can see some people getting confused by the terminology when thinking from a eurasian worldview and dichotomy, that it’s simply the reverse to patriarchy when it’s not.

We come and are from Twinlineal, not patrilineal or matrilineal, but both. If nature is he then nature is she. This is further proven in Asante Twi where pronouns are gender-neutral…however this must be innerstood in context so as not to confuse it with krakkka missexual misorientations. Our civilizations have always worked and reared the children on both DC (direct current) and AC (alternate current) or matrilineal & patrilineal, respectively. 𓋹𓂀

@DrTau meda wo ase for clarifying that mid part cause i was hoping you were not going in that other direction i see that “community” doing with our traditional culture! it is totally being misappropriated. that being said with the clarification, i can agree with that.

@DrTau Twinlineal. First time hearing that. Don’t think I’ll use it but I think it’s straight.
Never used matrilineal and never will. It just isn’t accurate.
Complimentarineal..? lol I tried.

Thank you Preciate it ✊🏿
Twinlineal certainly works well enough to drive the point home. I just think the more accurate the better.
