Botswana is where I needed to be.
Welcome to the village of Oodi! Titus my Yango driver knew where I needed to be. It was truly a blessing to hear the history of Botswana and learn more about Oodi. The mountain in the pic is the one we went to, he drove half up and we walked the rest. The landscape pics are of Oodi from the top of the mountain. The empty land to the right of the village is land past Prez Khama bought and now his sons own it, over 100 acres and all the way to the mountain and around where we were is the families property but Titus said they don’t use it anymore and refuse to sell some. Botswana is very beautiful and friendly. Come to find out my cousin told me “this is the land of our grandfather, Batlokwa are his ancestors. They come from there” from Gaborone. My ancestors never steer me wrong.

Our ancestors are always with us, we’ll only hear them clearly when we begin to declutter from all the distractions and foreignness.
