“This research critiques the enduring dominance of colonial and post-colonial structures in African education systems, which systematically marginalise African epistemologies and create curricula disconnected from indigenous knowledge systems. While African Studies has evolved, it continues to inadequately integrate African philosophical traditions, creating a problematic foundation for mental health pedagogy that fails to resonate with Ghanaian and African learners’ cultural realities.”
