Former RSF field commander confirms UAE trained militia
“With regards to the extent of Emirati support, what we’re saying is not estimates or inferences,” said Ali Al-Tayeb Mohamed Musa, a high-ranking defector from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
In a staggering eyewitness account of UAE support for the militia beyond the provision of weapons, Musa cited trips to the Emirates for training and the treatment of wounded fighters.
During a press conference, Musa told journalists that he was among the RSF fighters sent to the UAE for training courses, with 90% of the training centres in the country and Emirati officers providing instruction.
He added that the training included strategic, intelligence, and even “su*cidal” drones, alongside intelligence and security qualifications.
The defector outlined the massive logistical network keeping the RSF operational, stating that weapons and personnel move through a web of regional hubs, including Ndjamena (Chad), Jufra and Benghazi (Libya), and airports in Somalia.
Furthermore, Musa told journalists that he witnessed wounded RSF fighters being flown to Emirati hospitals for treatment on the same planes that took him to the UAE for training.
This testimony directly challenges the UAE’s denials that it is involved in Sudan.
By providing the drones, the intelligence training, and the medical recovery for RSF fighters, the UAE is the primary architect of the militia’s endurance.
Ultimately, this would prove that the war in Sudan is not a civil war. Rather, it is a foreign-backed campaign fueled by Emirati resources and logistics.
