Tanzania to Become 7th African Nation With International Financial Center, Targeting Global Capital
🇹🇿 The move addresses private sector concerns and enhances Tanzania’s competitiveness in drawing international investment, the country’s Chief Secretary Moses Kusiluka announced after a meeting of the Tanzania National Business Council Executive Committee.
According to Bank of Tanzania Governor Emmanuel Tutuba, the IFC will
🔹provide easier access to capital for financial institutions and companies;
🔹support large-scale development projects;
🔹facilitate knowledge transfer from international experts.✅He also confirmed that Tanzania already meets the key requirements: political stability, national security, and a strong banking sector.
Six African countries already operate similar centers, making Tanzania the seventh.
👉 Investors would gain access to over 1.4 billion people across Africa through regional blocs such as the EAC, SADC, and AfCFTA.
