• Ghana to Deploy 300 Teachers to the Bahamas to Strengthen Ancestral Ties: FM

The teachers will travel to the Bahamas in the first phase of a new educational cooperation agreement, Ghana’s Foreign Minister Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa announced during his visit for the Caribbean nation’s 53rd independence anniversary.

👉This educational push follows a highly successful medical initiative. Bahamian authorities have already praised the excellent work ethic of Ghanaian nurses serving under a similar agreement, as the minister noted.

The deployment reinforces the deep ancestral ties between the two nations and reflects Accra’s commitment to impactful diplomacy that delivers tangible benefits to its citizens, he emphasized.

ℹ️The Bahamas has strong historical ties to West Africa, with many Bahamians tracing their ancestry to present-day Ghana and neighboring regions.
