My journey overcoming lies from Jamaica-America, back to Africa continues.
I was on a call with a group of educators who are on a journey to uplift our people through re-education and restoration of our righteous ancestral culture. I was Enlighted, encouraged, reminded and instructed by the pouring of libation message which rang so loud in every fiber of my being.
I hope it will also be a light to you as it was to me.
Brother sanyika anwisye pouring libation for us with Ɛna Njideka the moderator and the team.
It began as follows:
Through the spiritual memory of the 1st Africans.
seeking and maintaining unity with the Creator.
Searching for righteousness led them to build and maintain sovereignty for our people.
Pour libation, and say, I say Ase, and I say Ase
The Yoruba word “Aṣẹ” (pronounced “ah-shay”) is often used in the African diaspora as a word of affirmation and confirmation, similar to “Amen”. It conveys the idea of power, authority, and the spiritual force that drives life.
